MY STORY
My journey into graphic design goes way back to 2007, when I first discovered a website called Digimods. I’d spend hours there, tweaking and manipulating car photos — swapping wheels, adding body kits, experimenting with colours — basically learning Photoshop before I even realised it was a career path.
At the same time, I was deep into the UK music scene, especially Grime and Bassline. I was active on forums for both genres, and that’s where I started designing signature images for other members. It was all just for fun at first, but it didn’t take long before I realised I’d stumbled into something I genuinely loved doing.
By 2008, I’d set up a Myspace page to showcase my work and started reaching out to my favourite producers, DJs, and MCs. That was my entry point into the music industry, and before I knew it, I was creating flyers, posters, and artwork for people across the Bassline and Birmingham Grime scenes.
After a solid few years freelancing, I took a bit of a break to focus on music production — though I never stopped designing for myself. Around 2014, I jumped back in properly, working with some incredible names like Kromestar, Hedex, DJ Guv, Turno, and many more.
Not long after, I teamed up with Lewis and Amani to form Gentlemens Club. From there, my creative focus shifted entirely to the group. I expanded my skill set into web design, illustration, video editing, and branding, and took charge of all things visual — from art direction to merchandise design, which has gone on to sell thousands of units.
By the end of 2024, I started taking on a few side projects for friends and remembered how much I genuinely enjoy designing for others. Fast forward to 2025, after a nudge (and a bit of pressure) from my colleagues, I’ve decided to officially reopen for client work after nearly a decade of focusing solely on Gentlemens Club.
